2019 Color Trends in Interior Design

Announcing the Color of the Year is one of the most exciting events in the design world. Most paint brands have already released their predictions for colors of the year, including Pantone, Benjamin Moore, and PPG.

If you’re looking to refresh your home with new hues, check out these 2019’s top color trends.

Pantone: Living Coral

Interior designers describe Pantone’s latest Color of the Year as optimistic and hopeful, bringing life and energy to every room of the house.  They recommend using either the coral color itself or playing with the combination of pink and orange hues. Living Coral is a great accent color for social spaces such as the living room but also can be incorporated in the bathroom or the bedroom.

Benjamin Moore: Metropolitan

While most of the other paint manufacturers have chosen deep and bright colors for 2019, Benjamin Moore picked a mild neutral color, such as the Metropolitan. The silvery grey shade with cool undertones is soothing and sophisticated. It is an adaptable and inspired alternative to traditional neutrals. And interiors shots released by Benjamin Moore show just how the peaceful shade works throughout the home – from adding a sense of calm and order to living rooms when paired with navy, charcoal and metallic, to transforming bedrooms into soothing, elegant havens that aid relaxation.

PPG: Night Watch

The company has chosen this hue because “it brings its healing power from the outdoors into your home through color”. This deep green is perfect for an accent wall in the living room or the cabinet. Designers recommend pairing it with rich camel tones to add lightness to the area. Also if you’re working with an interior that’s lacking a good view or connection to the outdoors, the luxurious green shade is perfect.
